Pounds and Inches

I took a hammer to my bedroom wall.
I have this terribly annoying problem. My neighbors like to "do their laundry" very loudly. I am talkin' loud. Their effing headboard bangs against the wall so hard that it shakes the decorations I have hanging on the wall above my bed. I've talked to the property manager about it, I've banged my fists against the wall while simultaneously screaming at the top of my lungs "Come on, really?!"... My property manager suggested that I call the police. What would I do, call 9-1-1 and say what... "Hi, I know you have murders and burglaries that you have to respond to, but can you tell my frisky neighbors to make some different bedroom furniture arrangements?"... No. So tonight I took the matter, rather, the hammer into my own hands. As soon as I started to hear the all-too-familiar sound of their headboard banging against the wall, I grabbed my hammer and went at it. I hammered the wall as hard as I could without doing too much damage. It worked! Ahhh, silence. I hope they get the message and fung shui their bed to another wall.

On another note, I have picked myself up from a terrible weekend of food cheating and told my junk food urges where to shove it. I have a terrible headache for a number of reasons, maybe it's a carb hangover from the weekend? Not sure, but I feel good about my food consumption. I am also contemplating joining 24 hour fitness, I am getting tired of the same ol' apartment workout gym machines. I need more! I would like to do kick boxing or a spin class.

Hope everyone has had a fantastic beginning to their week!

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"
