Retail therapy does a body good!
I have definately decided that going forward I will be working-out in the mornings. I don't care how early I have to wake up! Working out in the evenings kicks my ass in the worst way. I am going to stop complaining about it and learn my lesson. So glad that tomorrow is Friday - I don't have alot to look forward to this weekend, but whatever does take place...I hope it is spectacular.
My workout this evening was frustrating, I bought this arm band thing to hold my phone steady so I can listen to music... it wouldn't stay on my arm, the songs I was listening to wouldn't shuffle and most of all I couldn't stop looking at my damn belly - It's like I have this left-over fat girl reminder. It's that area right above my belly button that when I put on a snug t-shirt it looks like this huge concave divot with dimples. Haha, all I want is for it to flatten the heck out! Maybe I need to tone down my expectations, it's only been about a week and a half since I started working out - I am sure I will see it flatten out soon enough... patience definately is a virtue. Haha!
I decided that my poor skin just couldn't handle tanning tonight after my workout, I found myself driving around with no point.. I stopped and got gas, grabbed a lunchable... I decided that I would like to snag a cheap piece of clothing from Ross... and that I did! I tried on butt lift jeans, lord knows I could use any help in that area... I didn't try on just one pair but dang near 30. I also tried on a couple of dresses, ugh.. scratchy polyester and denim are not made for burned skin... I eventually found a cute little, uh, long vest thing for 8 bucks.. I don't know how to describe it, but it's cute! It just so happens to pair nicely with my gray high heels. I also found a pretty cute t-shirt perfect for my work-outs... just $2!
Anyway, enough about the aesthetic. Going to hit dream world.

My rolls itch...
Don't get me wrong, I am in great spirits today! Being that I work very early for the next couple of days, I had to work out last night instead of this morning and I will have to do the same tomorrow night... it really made me feel drained! I didn't have the same amount of energy throughout the day.
On top of that I tanned and I am ITCHING LIKE CRAZY! I hope I get some sleep tonight, this itching had better not keep me up! On a positive side note, I am pretty sure I am addicted to this low carb smoothie at Smoothie King. It's called The Gladiator and it tastes delicious! It only has 3 carbs in the largest size (literally it is like a 1/2 gallon of smoothie goodness). So glad Sarah suggested this smoothie at lunch yesterday.. now I am going to be finding reasons to stop by Smoothie King :)
Short and sweet - goodnight!

Exercise is my Xanax!
I had a really pretty awesome day. It was a challenge to get started working out at the beginning.. the first day I was SO tired... the next day I was very sore... as each day passed I gained more stamina during my workouts. This morning I woke up with this renewed sense of awesomeness. I haven't felt better in a long time!
I rounded off my evening tonight with a workout (I have to wake up too early to workout in the morning), a nice lil tan at Mega Tan and a grand ol' shopping trip to Wal-Mart... I got an arm band for my phone so I can listen to the radio while I workout, a new set of cheap tennies, leggings, a new t-shirt.. the list goes on, but I walked out with ALOT for a little! I am a bargain shopper! As I was driving home I realized how grateful I am for life, for the people in it and the feeling I get when love overwhelms me.
I had so much more that I wanted to say on this thing, the words escape me right now. I would just love to sum it up as just being thankful. So very thankful.Labels: awesomeness, exercise, shopping |

I sucked the chocolate off coffee beans...
Today was a pretty good day. I feel pretty bloated.. yay, LOVE being a woman. Haha, despite all of that I am still feeling good! It felt like I could not eat enough today! This is what I had (in chronological order):
7:10a - 1/2 a banana on my way out the door to workout
9:00a - 2 low carb bfast burritos in the car on the way to work
12:30p - 1 bowl of my soup, 1/2 a banana and a small apple at lunch
3:00p - Low carb vanilla yogurt and strawberries for a late afternoon snack
7:55p - About a cup of steamed soy beans with sea salt and 3 baby carrots for dinner
8:30p?? - Lastly, I was SO craving chocolate that I sucked the dark chocolate off of 2 coffee beans (I didn't want the caffiene to keep me awake, but I desperately wanted some chocolate).
As you can tell, I missed my "No eating after 7:30" rule, but this truly is the only night that this has happened!
I did drink a crap ton of water today - it's like my body just wanted it and I wasn't forcing myself to drink it! I usually have to flavor the water with Crystal Light or something, not today!
On another note, I don't know how healthy this is, but I decided to get myself a tanning membership. Tanning has always given me a boost of confidence, I'll definately be checking in with my dermatologist on a regular basis to keep my skin in check!
I think I will be making a trip to my local farmers market to get some more fruit -- I am hoping that they have a good variety and that it isn't too expensive!
Goodnight to all!

My apartment smells of curry....
Tonight I made the carrot, cucumber and zucchini soup -- curry was a major ingredient. It was fun to make, not a large challenge. I tasted it after it was finished cooking, eh, a little bland - I added salt and pepper and decided to use jalapeno sour cream and cheese (organic) to garnish when I eat it! I also used organic chicken broth and carrots. I feel a bit accomplished using so many organic items - the only things I didn't use organic was the zucchini, cucumber and heavy cream. Wal-mart wasn't the best place to go for organic -- didn't have the chance to go to the Sunflower Shoppe this weekend.
Working out in the morning! I've been feeling more energetic lately, I think I will be able to stick it to that treadmill! I have read that the soonest you see real results from starting a workout program is about a month, I have already seen an increased weight-loss and I have noticed little things, like my lower belly firming up and my thighs seeming more tight. These are things that only I would notice, can't wait until I put on my bikini this summer and not feel like I have to put on shorts to cover up my insecurities!
Here's to a fantastic week -- there is a possibility that my dad might be moving home soon -- I wonder if I will be helping him move this weekend??
Love to all!
